Hi Mason, thanks for raising this topic up! It is actually a very serious problem. I'm not even talking about addiction. Some doctors prescribe Vicodin without thinking about consequences, just to make their own life easier. I remember one day couple years ago when I came to my dentist with a terrible tooth pain. I have already spent a few days before this visit trying to decrease this pain with Aleve, different tooth pain relief treatments from my nearest Walgreen's, alcohol swabs, etc. So I finally got an appointment with my dentist. It should also be mentioned that regardless of my pain, I had to wait for 2 days before I got the appointment. I'd wish my dentist to get into the same situation, btw. But ok, I finally got the appointment. Do you think it helped? Not really. It was just a beginning of my bigger problems. It was definitely a problem with a root canal. But, instead of taking care of the root canal, my dentist told me that he doesn't see anything on X-Ray and prescribed me Vicodin! I was fool that I agreed to try! Two days later when the pain was still severe I finally decided to go to another dentist. And I found pretty easy how good my solution was. This dentist made another X-Ray and found that in addition to 3 treated root canals, there was 4th root canal that has never been opened and treated. Wow! Such an interesting discovery! It was the last tooth in the raw and I guess that was the reason why the first doctor didn't want to deal with it. It took about 20 minutes to take care of this root canal and the pain was gone, forever. No pain, no Vicodin, no nothing! I was really happy. But the lesson that I have learned was the following. If you know and you are positive about the real reason of your pain do not let doctors foolish you. Do not agree to take any narcotics only if you have a very serious reason for that. This Vicodin almost killed me. I've never taken any narcotics in my life, never smoked, etc. But these pills were s terrible! I'll never repeat my experience again. And I would never recommend anybody to take these or other narcotic pills. The videos are talking about addiction. I spent only 2 days with this Vicodin, and I actually took only one pill, the rest of the period I was trying to recover after this pain helper. Never-never again! Btw, it's hard to believe, that I'm sure there are people driving their vehicles after taking these Vicodin like medicine. It's extremely dangerous, but this is our real life and we all live with this problem among these drivers. Walter

The doctors prescribe Vicodin just because they are recommended to do so. And most of them have never tried to take this medicine for sure to know the consequences of taking just one doze of such a drug. The most important thing - this drug causes addiction and there are many ways to buy it, say, on ebay.com. So you'll never know why's driving his car behind you and how dangerous this person is. There is a paradox. You can easily buy Vicodin and a lot of other so called pain relievers with no prescription, buy I for example was unable to buy a simple Interceptor for my dog! The online pharmacy wanted me to mail (not to fax or email, but mail the original prescription!) them a prescription of the veterinarian. Isn't that funny? The dogs are more important than people. I need to buy Interceptor once a year because nobody sells over 12 dozes. 6 - easy! But to get a prescription I need to take my dog to veterinarian, get a complete test, pay for everything and it's not free anyway. I'm young and not spending money for my own health as I spend for my dog!

Here is a new just uploaded video about kids and antidepressants. Kids And Anti-Depressants - Chris Pitman & James Tierney Chris Pitman Shot killed his grandparents and burned down their home while on the Antidepressant Zoloft & James Tierney Prescribed *Effexor she started having suicidal thoughts[* not approved for any one under 18 years old] - WCNC.COM 6 NewsThe bad news is that these drugs are in use for years and this problem is not new at all. Here are a few videos from previous years. Nothing has changed since that. Only the number of prescriptions is growing up, the number of people taking these drugs on a daily basis is huge.Antidepressants found to be no better than Placebo Here is the video published on March 7, 2008.
CBC news covers the recent studies showing that Antidepressants were found to be no more effective than Placebo. The questions were asked why were these Antidepressants approved if they were no more effective than the Placebo but yet they have harmful side effects i.e. Suicidal tendencies, Homicidal tendencies which many times lead to school shootings and other terrible events. Terrible withdrawal effects and many, many more. The question does have to be asked, Why would regulatory bodies such as Health Canada approve these Antidepressants after being given all this evidence? Seems like corruption between them and the Pharmaceutical industry.
The first time I saw this evidence come to light was at a Truehope presentation a number of years back where they talked about the harmful side effects of these antidepressants and the lack of effectiveness of them. Here is another video published on August 4, 2009.Are Antidepressants Overprescribed? Most Americans on antidepressants have other symptoms, not depression. You can read more about this story here: http://abcnews.go.com/He...y?id=8246738&page=1
This video shows that the usage of antidepressants was increased from 5.8% in 1996 to 10.1% in 2005. Is it scary? Yes, it is. There is no guarantee that one day your car is not get hit by a driver taking these pills, or someone takes guns to school, etc. So the problem is not only not eliminated, but dramatically increased as well as the drug consumption, including by very young people. Are these pills dangerous? Very! Here is another video showing a very low qualification of doctors prescribing these drugs. In Memory of Indiana (Effexor Infant Death Antidepressants Pregnancy MOTHERS Act) Here are couple comments:Uploader Comments (amyphilo)My 8 month old baby boy James passed away Nov 21st. I was not taking Effexor, but I too encountered major medical mistakes by physicians that make me very angry. I know there is no greater sorrow than what your family is experiencing. Your baby girl is so adorable!!! Just keep your eyes on Jesus and seeing your precious ones again one day soon. Everything will be made right in the end, God said so!! Please take care and know that you are in my families prayers from now on. russdonrussWords cannot express how sorry I am for your loss. Big Pharma has too much power and pull in the US. Watch prime time TV and you will see a commercial spot for a drug or pharmaceutical company during almost every break. Our people are being brainwashed into believing that medication is the solution to every problem. Modern doctors are now referred to by Pharma as "prescriptionists"... Wake up America! They're killing you with one med and treating the symptoms with another.... Antidepressants, School Shooters, & Suicide The evidence is in. A small percentage of those taking antidepressants will become homocidal and/or suicidal. But a small percentage of 30,000,000 is more than hundreds of thousands of people in the U.S. alone! Though most of those people manage to get off the medications before acting on strong violent impulses, that's a lot of lives placed in jeapordy. And even if not common, too often, the result is tragic. Here's the topper: On average, these drugs barely work better than placebos in alleviating depression!!!
(Yes, they do seem to have dramatic impact on depression in SOME individuals. But if, on average, they are barely better than placebos, then the vast majority of users either get no benefit or the benefit of some must be offset by increasing problems in others. The result is that large studies show that, ON AVERAGE, the SSRIs are barely better than placebos, despite good results experienced by SOME people.)

What your Doctor isn't Telling You. Psychiatry vs. Physical Medicine
Dr. Moria Dolan, Executive Director for the Medical Accountability Network discusses the link between antidepressants medications and suicide, violence and school shootings.
Seung-hui Cho w/ the Virginia Tech massacre adds to a long list of incidents over the last 15 to 20 years including Columbine and Red Lake High,
She also discusses antidepressant drugs like like Prozac, Zoloft, Paxil, Luvox, Celexa, Lexapro, Effexor or Wellbutrin.
These medications are known to cause adverse events which can contribute to violence such as hallucinations, agitation, emotional instability, violence, paranoia, etc.
These adverse events are clearly labeled on the FDA approved prescribing information leaflet for the medication. These labels often contain confusing medical terms and Dr. Dolan explains in plain English what these adverse events means.
Although the psychiatric advertising jargon of the chemical imbalance in the brain theory is widely promoted, Dr. Dolan points out that there are no biological markers for mental disorders. There are no physical tests done to measure someone's brain chemistry.
Depression is widely associated with the neurotransmitter serotonin however, there is no standard by which one can measure an abnormal serotonin level.
Additionally, SSRI (Selective serotonin reuptake inhibitors) as well as other psychiatric drugs show an affect in the brain during brain scans whereas psychiatric diagnosis don't.

Antidepressants Facts, The Truth about Psychiatry Depression Drugs 1. They Don't Work! • Antidepressants have no impact... Almost 50 clinical trials were reviewed by psychologists from the UK's University of Hull, who found new-generation antidepressants worked no better than a placebo for most depressed patients. See a few BBC Videos on this research and some other cool stuff: http://search.bbc.co.uk/...amp;q=antidepressant...
The Original Research Document http://medicine.plosjour...f/10.1371_journal.pm...
• The UK Newspaper The Guardian reported on Feb.27, 2008 that the government yesterday released details of its £170m plan to train 3,600 more psychological therapists in the wake of a study showing that antidepressant drugs such as Prozac are no more effective than a placebo. http://www.guardian.co.u.../27/mentalhealth.health
2. Big Pharma Lies! • They routinely suppress the results of research which have negative results for their products. The Wall Street Journal reports that the effectiveness of a dozen popular anti-depressants has been exaggerated by selective publication of favorable results, according to a review of unpublished data submitted to the Food and Drug Administration. Among the many drugs that were found to have increased their effects as a result of selective publication and/or data manipulation: Lexapro, Prozac, Paxil, Zoloft, Effexor Wall Street Journal link: http://online.wsj.com/ar...ml?mod=hpp_us_whats_new

Her post partum depression was severe. Rusty made her live in a old bus because Rusty believed in a particular pastor. He treated her like a breeding mare. He knew how bad she was but didn't get her admitted. Rusty expected Jesus to heal her. Quitting meds when you're not ready leads to med resistance later." Paula
