The Director Network Infrastructure - IToversees and continuously improves the IT infrastructure and operations of Systems Support, Telecommunications, Systems Integration, and IT Network Administration for John C. Lincoln Health Network. This position is responsible for the planning, design, implementation, and support of the organization's IT systems and voice/data network infrastructure. Leads, directs the work, and builds the skills and capabilities of others, to include the Information Technology Manager, System Support Leads, Network Administrators-IT, Systems Administrators, Telecom Specialists, Vocera Technician, and System Support Technicians. This group of staff is responsible for configuration, maintenance, support, problem-solving, and improvement of the following: servers, storage, network switching equipment, wireless controllers, wireless access points, wireless sensors, metropolitan area network connectivity, Internet connectivity, voice circuits, enterprise Private Branch Exchanges, Business Communication Manager systems, Vocera, Blackberry Enterprise Server, Goodlink Server, Secure Logix ETM/Firewall, copper and fiber infrastructure cabling, overhead paging, video services, and desktop support. This position interacts and coordinates with other members of the Information Technology to ensure the systems, telecommunications, network, and desktop support meet the evolving needs and service levels identified by the organization. Relies on extensive experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Will act as a project manager and/or sponsor for IT projects. Performs a variety of tasks.
1.Responsible for strategic planning, oversight, and continuous improvement of the design, implementation, and support of the organization's IT systems and voice/data network infrastructure. Manages support staff that performs installation, maintenance, support, problem-solving, and continuous improvement of organization's IT systems, voice/data network infrastructure, and associated operating systems, providing maximum uptime, reliability, security, efficiency, and effectiveness of services. This includes managing and overseeing staff that perform installation, design, and support.
2.Works with IT staff and interfaces with all Lincoln Health Resources and affiliate departments and physicians’ office ensuring efficient and effective service delivery, project execution, problem prevention, timely incident resolution, and prompt attention to their IT systems, voice/data network infrastructure, and associated operating systems.
3.Develops new and improved systems, telecommunications and network services to meet the needs of new program and facilities and evolving business requirements.
4.Provides, develops, and inspires a staff of highly competent Information Technology Manager, Supervisor of IT Support Services, System Administrators, Network Administrators-IT, Telecom Specialists, Vocera Technician, and System Support Technicians.
5.Ensures projects of sufficient size and scope are developed with the customer and managed using IT project management tools.
6.Contributes to an efficient and cost effective telecommunication, network, and systems support function through planning, preparing, monitoring, and managing the department’s budget with appropriate approval process and continuously seeking ways to do more with the same or fewer resources.
7.Demonstrates commitment to organizational goals.
Qualifications:
Associate’s degree with 3-5 years telecom experience in addition to having 3-5 years of supervisory/management experience; Preferred: Bachelor’s degree, 10 years Telecom, Network, and/or Systems Support management role
Telecommunications experience, Preferred : 5 year of that Telecom, Network, and/or Systems Support management role in an Health Care environment
Network IT Management experience
Preferred Certifications: ITIL Foundation Certificate, PMP Certification
